Five Star Recruiting is hiring an experienced Pastry Cook / Baker for a 4–8 week assignment supporting a luxury hotel kitchen in New Hope, PA. This is a high-volume, standards-driven culinary environment that services restaurant outlets, banquets, and in-room dining.
This temporary position is perfect for a pastry professional with strong technical skills who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. You’ll work under the guidance of the Executive Pastry Chef and contribute to beautifully executed plated desserts, breads, and pastries.
Prepare and bake breakfast pastries, artisan breads, cakes, cookies, and plated desserts
Execute recipes consistently with attention to portioning and presentation standards
Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards at your station
Support pastry production for banquets, restaurant service, and events
Collaborate with the pastry and culinary team to meet prep and service timelines
Label, date, and store ingredients and finished products properly
Adapt quickly to kitchen operations and hotel production systems
Minimum 2 years of experience as a pastry cook or baker in a hotel, resort, or upscale dining setting
Strong working knowledge of doughs, batters, garnishing, and plating techniques
Ability to work efficiently, follow recipes, and meet production goals
Availability for early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Immediate availability and commitment to complete the 4–8 week contract
Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and pastry tools
Understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
Professional attitude and ability to perform under pressure
