We are seeking talented Event Assistant Chefs to join our elite culinary team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced Event Chefs to prepare, plate, and present food to the highest standards. Job Responsibilities

Assist with kitchen prep, setup, and breakdown at various event locations

Support food production, cooking, plating, and service during events

Maintain quality, temperature, and presentation standards for all dishes

Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations

Help manage ingredient prep and inventory on-site

Work efficiently under the direction of the Event Chef to maintain smooth kitchen flow

Assist with transporting and unloading kitchen supplies as needed

Represent Five Star Catering Staff with professionalism and a positive attitudeResponsibilities

Job Requirements

Required:

1–3 years of experience in a professional kitchen (catering preferred)

Strong knife skills and understanding of cooking fundamentals

Team-oriented mindset with the ability to follow direction

Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence

Ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 25 lbs

Availability for evenings, weekends, and occasional weekdays

Willingness to travel to event venues (carpool options may be available)

Preferred:

Experience in event-based or high-volume culinary production

Familiarity with upscale food presentation and plating

Serve Safe certification or equivalent food safety training
